Not far from Matera, in the village of Montescaglioso, the Cavalcata del Borbone takes place every year. This typical festival tells the story of Carlo di Borbone (king of Naples and Sicily) who stayed here in 1735. The opportunity to recreate the atmosphere of the day with costumes, horses and grandiloquent parades throughout the city.
