Paolo was fantastic! We were visiting Matera for one night and had an amazing meal 100% recommend by Paolo! The Antipasti, the Primi, the Secondi, Dessert and a custom Digestivo to my taste preference (who knew!) - and still serving the founder’s original recipes.

Provato il 10/04/2024. Bellissima location tipica locale nel cuore di Matera. Personale simpaticissimo e competente. Indimenticabile lasagna lucana (da provare assolutamente). Ottimo profiteroles fatto in casa e meraviglioso babà al rum. Ottimo primitivo locale. Prezzo adeguato. Tappa obbligata. Consigliatissimo.

We visited Matera in early April and had dinner at this family ran trattoria. Typical trattoria with very simple interior. The food was amazing, kids loved their pasta. It was one of the best traditional pastas we had eaten in Basilicata and Puglia.

The service, however, was not that great. The waitress wasn't friendly and we didn't really feel that warmth and hospitality we experienced throughout our visit in the region. Wouldn't come back because of this.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment pour un dîner en famille ! La cuisine est très qualitative et locale. L'atmosphère est chaleureux et le service est très correct. Une trattoria de quartier où il y a la queue avant l'ouverture à 20H le soir. Ambiance chaleureuse, personnel très efficace, des spécialités locales comme par exemple la purée de pois chiche avec de la chicorée.
