Pinacoteca with an interesting collection of paintings by Domenico Finoglio

The Picture Gallery houses an interesting collection of paintings by the Neapolitan Baroque painter Paolo Domenico Finoglio (1590-1645), gathered around the theme of Jerusalem Liberata, the famous poem of the Cup that tells the story of the first crusade. This exceptional ensemble of ten large canvases is considered the largest non-religious Italian cycle of the 17th century. It was commissioned by the Count of Conversano to decorate the castle.
