Kapax became known in 1976, at the age of 29, when he swam down the Magdalena River from Neiva to Barranquilla

Probably the most famous character in Leticia, he can be seen teasing an anaconda in the middle of a swamp, in many store windows... He even has his bronze statue at the airport! Years of useful experience to venture off the beaten track. Alberto Lesmes Rojas, alias Kapax, became known in 1976, at the age of 29, when he swam down the Magdalena River from Neiva to Barranquilla. If you stay at the Decameron de Leticia, you will probably have the chance to meet the man who is nicknamed "the Tarzan of the Amazon".
