Museum in Popayan, presenting a valuable collection of paintings, sketches and drawings of several famous paintings
The museum was created in 1958 in the house of Efraím Martinez, a great plastic artist, painter and draftsman, born and died in Popayán. This house was one of his favorite places to create his works. There is a valuable collection of paintings, sketches and drawings of many of his famous paintings, including the most famous, Apoteosis de Popayán, a monumental oil painting based on the poem Canto a Popayán, by Guillermo Valencia, located in the University of Cauca.
