The symbol of Popayán. Right to the right of the cathedral and facing Parque Caldas. The bell was built between 1675 and 1682 at the request of Bishop Cristóbal Bernardo de Quiroz. During the war of independence, the contrepoids of his clock were melted on the order of General Nariño, to make cannon balls.

Un incontournable de Popayán
Une tour imposante qui jouxte la très belle cathédrale Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. On ne peut pas la manquer si on passe par le parc Caldas.
