Gold Museum or Quimbaya Museum located in the northeast of the city, presenting a collection of beautiful gold objects
The Gold Museum, or Museo Quimbaya, belongs to the series of three museums of the Banco de la República dedicated to the Quimbayas. It is the most beautiful of the three (the other two are in Manizales and Pereira). The collection contains some very beautiful gold objects. The museum is located in the northeast of the city, in a building designed by the famous architect Rogelio Salmona. Undergoing renovation in 2022, the collection is currently on display in the Banco de la República building in the city center (see temporary address).
