The palace of Gobernación (Prefecture) Caldas was built in 1928 under the sway of the North American architect John Vawter. With republican influences (Renaissance Florentine influence), it was restored in 2003. Located in the town of Bolívar, this is one of the most beautiful examples of Manizales's urban architecture.
