RÍO BLANCO RESERVA NATURAL

3 km northeast of Manizales, a reserve of almost 5,000 ha, whose altitude oscillates between 2,150 m and 3,700 m. 372 species of birds and almost as many butterflies have been recorded there! The reserve, managed by the water company of Manizales, has been declared an Area of Protection for the conservation of birds by Birdlife International, and is one of the most popular places for birdwatchers. Visits of about 3 hours, with specialized guides. Reservations required.
