Pozos Azules with its beautiful turquoise lagoons, ideal for a nap or a picnic

On the road to El Fósil, about 3 kilometers from the city center, Pozos Azules ("Blue Wells") are worth a visit. They are seven lagoons with beautiful turquoise waters, in the middle of the desert of the Sanquencipá Valley. The water gets its particular color from the presence of selenium, sulfur and other minerals in the gullies where the rainwater descends. The place is pleasant, but not really exceptional. We make the tour in about twenty minutes, but the idea is to stop for a moment for a nap or a picnic at the edge of the water.

Lagunes sympathiques en dehors de la ville. L'endroit n'est pas incontournable mais on y passe un moment agréable.

Pas ouf, fait partie des pozos survendu aux touristes en Colombie : il s'agit de mares ou l'on en peux pas se baigner et ou il faut payer 6 000 COP pour payer la cloture qu'il on mit autour des lacs. Un peu tristounette avec peu de vegetation et a la période ou nous sommes allé l'eau était trouble et peux esthétique.

Joli site qui vaut le détour si vous prévoyez une excursion dans les sites aux alentours de Villa de Leyva. Possibilité de faire un circuit en vélo : pozos azules + el fosil + el infiernito + casa terracota. Demandez une carte là où vous louerez les vélos, impossible de se perdre. La route est facile d'accès et ne requiert pas un grand effort sportif. Pensez toutefois à vous armer contre le soleil, qui peut taper très fort!
