KHRESTOVOZDVIZHENSKIY MONASTERY (МОНАСТИР ХРЕСТОВОЗДВИЖЕНСЬКИЙ)

Founded in 1650 and completed in 1756, this monastery is located on the edge of the river. Inside, the church of the Croix-de-la-Croix, in baroque style, presents 7 domes instead of 5 which are typical of Ukrainian religious architecture. The 47 m high bell was built in 1786. On the territory of the monastery there are also the churches Troitska (1750) and Semenovska (1887). In the Soviet era, the monastery was converted into juvenile prison.
