Built by Count Stanislav Pototski, a Polish tycoon, Sofiyivka Park is above all a wonderful testimony of the Count's love for his wife Sofia. Having fallen in love with this woman of unspeakable beauty, romantic and passionate, the Count bought her from her former husband and decided, in her honour, to build a real little jewel in the middle of the Ukrainian countryside. Thus was born the park that became famous, with a succession of fountains, waterfalls, groves, pretty pavilions and romantic alleys.
