ARMENIAN CHURCH (ЦЕРКОВЬ ЦЕРКОВЬ)

This architectural treasure is the result of collaboration between architect Gabriel Ter-Mikaelian, and painter and decorator Vardges Sureniants. In their work, they strongly inspired the Saint-Ripsime cathedral in Achmiadzin, Armenia. A graphic designer, Vardges Sureniants is, among others, the author of the dome drawings. The artist was buried in the cathedral with Pogos Ter-Gukasian, the oil tycoon who was building this church for her daughter. You will also notice the decoration of the hundred steps that allow you to access it.
