DRILON PARK

This park (Parku i Drilonit) is located at the resurgence of the Drilon River which flows from Lake Prespa into Lake Ohrid. This beautiful wetland and wooded area lost some of its trees due to a storm in the summer of 2021, but it remains a popular place for its swans, small boats for rent and restaurants with their feet in the water. During the communist period, the park was forbidden to the inhabitants: it housed the favorite vacation home of the dictator Enver Hoxha, now transformed into a restaurant (Vila Art).
