Scheduled to open in 2025, this museum (Muzeu Besa) is located within the "Tirana Castle" complex, in the Libohova house dating from 1944. It is to be dedicated to Albania's Jewish community and to the foreign Jews who found refuge in the country during the Second World War, many of whom were saved by the locals in the name of besa ("given word") and the customs of hospitality. Designed by American firm Oppenheim Architecture, the museum is co-financed by Israeli-Kazakh businessman Alexander Mashkevich.
