The seaside at Juan-les-Pins often has a bad reputation. Tourist traps, kingdom of the frozen ... But sometimes there are nice surprises in the ruthless world of catering! After having spotted this new address while driving past regularly, I was attracted by a beautiful terrace ... Accustomed to these charming modern and somewhat "racy" decorations, I thought to myself: "yet another restaurant owner who has bet everything on the decoration and who will serve frozen fries and desserts falsely called "home" coming directly from this famous professional distribution company..

But curiosity made me push the door of these "Terrible Children" and all my ugly prejudices melted like snow in the sun. This evocative name of Jean Cocteau displays a decoration combining retro and contemporary. A well-orchestrated harmony and a resolutely elegant atmosphere. We like the large outdoor terrace that opens through the roof as soon as the sun comes out. The card changes every 4 weeks or so. Here we only work with fresh produce, it's the house brand. It must be said that Pascal, the owner is a purist in this matter. We like the excellent Charolais beef tartare with knife, olives, tomatoes, the whole South West duck breast with peaches, the Thai style beef salad or the famous "Linguines alle Vongole". There is also a very fine wine list, including great wines by the glass. (at reasonable prices, thanks to a wine cellar under nitrogen which protects the wine from oxidation and guarantees its optimal conservation). The establishment is also a very friendly place to meet at aperitif time, after beach or after work according to your desires! Aperitif formulas are proposed with tasting of great wines accompanied by Corsican delicatessen (Lonzu, Coppa & wild boar sausage) or an excellent homemade foie gras. The welcome of the whole team is in the image of the boss: friendly, professional and always smiling. An excellent address that should not be missed during your stay in Juan. We loved it!
