LA PIEDRA ESCRITA

It is the pride of the village. Standing in the middle of the Saliente River, this large stone, called the piedra escrita, attracts thousands of visitors every year, because of the inscriptions engraved by the Tainos. The site itself is beautiful. The municipality has set up picnic tables and a wooden footbridge that allows you to walk through the vegetation and reach a beautiful viewpoint. You can also refresh yourself in the river. On weekends, the site is very busy, prefer the week to be quiet.
