CASA WIECHERS VILLARONGA

With its airy terrace and large pink façade, Casa Wiechers-Villaronga is an easy eye-catcher. And for good reason, it is one of the main neoclassical buildings in Ponce. Built in 1911 and partially destroyed by an earthquake 6 years later, it was later restored by the Cultural Institute. This house is the former mansion of the architect Alfredo Wiechers. Since 1996, it has housed a museum that traces Ponce's golden years through architecture. Temporarily closed during our visit in 2022.
