CAMPING SUN BAY

The only official campground on Vieques Island, it is administered by the Puerto Rico National Parks Company. A large, well-maintained lot is available to travelers, just behind Sun Bay Beach, 1 km east of Esperanza. There is no hot water in the showers, but the bathrooms are clean. Barbecues are also available for summer guests. There are also kiosks for food and drinks. The campsite is suitable for families and is secure, with supervised swimming.
