THE BOTANICAL GARDEN

The Botanical Garden of the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan covers more than 289 hectares. In some places, this garden gives the impression of having more flowers than the rest of Puerto Rico. One of the highlights is the small lake covered with lotus flowers. It is not very crowded, but it provides a great moment of relaxation. It serves as an experimental agricultural station for academics and other researchers. To find this garden, you have to go southwest from the main campus. It is easy to walk along the line of the Tren Urbano.
