FORTÍN DE SAN JERÓNIMO DEL BOQUERÓN

To strengthen the strategic defenses of the Old San Juan peninsula, the Spanish built a third fort, completed in 1788. This small citadel is located at the mouth of the El Condado lagoon, in front of the historical sector of Miramar in San Juan, in what is now called the Puerta de Tierra neighborhood, behind the Caribe Hilton hotel. This beautiful site can be the object of a pleasant walk along the sea and an interesting visit.
