In 1910, the English company Walker & Co. Ltd. founded Casa Evans, the only general store in the town of Conchillas. Very soon, this establishment became a grain collection center, equipped with large sheet metal sheds to load the wagons bound for Puerto Inglés, before transporting them to Europe. After being carefully restored by a group of local residents, the beautiful stone house is now open to the public. Guided tours.
