The structure of this lighthouse is unique in Uruguay (square base then cylindrical shape). It is possible to climb to the top of the lighthouse, 118 steps, take your breath before the ascent! At the top there is a nice view of the center and the Rio de la Plata. It was built on the ruins of the convent of San Francisco in 1857 on the initiative of Venancio Flores. This convent was built in 1694 under Portuguese rule and destroyed in a fire in 1704. Today you can still see the high and wide walls; further forward is the Chapel of the Concepción.

Préparez vous pour l'ascension dans cet escalier étroit car la vue vaut le détour. Une fois en haut profitez-en pour prendre quelques minutes pour profiter de la vue sur la vieille ville et sur l'océan.

Petit phare blanc situé au centre de colonia. Possibilité de monter au sommet pour une somme modique. Jolie vue sur colonia.

le phare est situé au milieu du centre ville et permet d'avoir un beau point de vue. Le traif est de 1€. Attention les horaires changent un peu tous les jours.

Entrée à 25 UY$ avec au rez-de chaussée une petit exposition sur l'histoire du monument. Pour plus de tranquillité y aller en fin de journée...
