PARQUE 17 DE FEBRERO
On the banks of the Río de la Plata, 14 km from the center of Colonia Valdense, between Los Pinos and Playa Fomento, lies the Parque Forestal, Centro de Campamentos, Actividades Recreativas y Capacitación. It belongs to the Waldensian Evangelical Church. Its name refers to the Edict of Emancipation in which King Charles-Albert of Savoy proclaimed, in 1848, that Waldensians would have the same civil and political rights as Italian citizens. Visitors can stroll through 7 hectares of woodland, rich in native trees and plants.
