PARQUE 17 DE FEBRERO

On the banks of the river Plata, 14 km from the centre of Colonia Valdense, between Los Pinos and Playa Fomento, lies Parque Forestal, Centro de Campamentos, Actividades Recreativas y Capacitación. He belongs to the Evangelical Church of Vaud. His name refers to the edict of the Emancipation in which King Charles Albert of Savoy proclaimed in 1848 that the Waldensians would have the same civil and political rights as Italian citizens. We can walk through 7 hectares of wood, rich in many species of native trees and plants.
