Located just in front of the cathedral, its ceramic benches feature paintings by the artist Hugo Nantes. The Pirámide de La Paz de Abril (April Peace Pyramid), a marble monument inaugurated in 1873, celebrates the end of the hostilities between the white and the colorado. Its four lions (a bit singular) symbolize the loyalty of each party and the shields display the important dates of the country.
