FARO

The lighthouse of José Ignacio, erected in 1877, is the emblematic symbol of the city. Nearly 45 meters high and with a range of 12 nautical miles, it was declared a historical monument in the 1970s. Visitors can climb the 150 steps of its spiral staircase to enjoy a panoramic view of the coast and the village. Opening hours may vary, so it is recommended to inquire on site. Not far from there is a place dedicated to handicrafts where you can find souvenirs.
