PUENTE LEONEL VIERA

Heading east, we can reach La Barra, Manantiales and José Ignacio by crossing a bridge unlike any other. It was designed by Leonel Viera and built in 1965, with extreme ingenuity given the materials of the time. This architectural and artistic feat even inspired an ode to the great Pablo Neruda. Nevertheless, its original shape became a danger for speeding cars and a traffic circle had to be created to slow down motorists in a hurry to enjoy the charms of La Barra
