HELADERIA ARLECCHINO

Don Angelo Barcella, originally from the province of Bergamo in Italy, became famous in Uruguay with his family ice cream business launched in 1998. Sales quickly exploded thanks in part to the use of local fruit, homemade dulce de leche and nuts imported from Italy. Among its flagship products is the iconic "Arlecchino", an orange chocolate, and "Montebianco", an American cream with chocolate cookies and dulce de leche. A second branch opened in 2021 in Maldonado.
