Francisco Piria Castle was built by architect Monzani in 1897. At the time, it was the residence of the town's founder. It is a brick-built castle set in a vast garden bordered by palm trees. Today, it has been converted into a national historical museum featuring period furniture, photographs and murals depicting the town's history. Guided tours are available.
