Inaugurated in November 1927, the famous monument of the Gaucho on horseback stands next to the Intendencia Municipal. Designed by José Luis Zorrilla de San Martín, this bronze statue on a pink granite base honors an anonymous hero who fought for the country's independence, celebrating the fearless and indomitable spirit, bravery and freedom of these legendary historical figures. The soldier holds a spear in his right hand, and the bas-reliefs carved into the stone depict tradition, campaigning, training and work.

statue militaire située au milieu d'un carrefour. Ne présente aucun intérêt particulier d'autant plus qu'il n'y a pas de plaque pour expliquer la vie de cet homme.
