This restaurant, which has now existed for 350 years, is surrounded by a beautiful garden near Nanzen-ji. It serves only yudōfu, a homemade tofu dish, boiled and accompanied by a fully vegetarian menu: sesame tofu, tuber soup, tofu skewers with miso, pickled vegetables and vegetable fritters. A good way to discover the diversity of tofu flavours, far from the image of a tasteless soy mozzarella that is sometimes conveyed. A healthy and hearty meal in an extraordinary setting is the strength of this address.
