LUUP is a scooter and urban bike rental service with numerous stations in Tokyo and Kyoto. You download the application (in English), then once you've entered all your details, simply scan a QR code. You can then go wherever you like, and drop off your scooter at any kiosk in town. The scooters are accessible without a Japanese driving license, after passing a short test on the app and then scanning a piece of ID (you need to be 16 or over). Ideal for urban strolls.
