The Ruacana Falls impress by their height - 120 m - ten meters higher than those of Victoria! But since the construction of a hydroelectric power station (the country's main installed production capacity) some 30 years ago, they are no longer irrigated all year round. You have to wait for the rainy season to see the water breaking on the rocks and plunging into the depths. The curtain of water which is formed then occupies a width of 700 m, a breathtaking spectacle. At this time of the year, a trip is a must. But even beyond these few weeks, the steep landscape is worth a detour.
