Old port of the city of Swakopmund located further behind the garden where the red and white lighthouse stands majestically.

Opposite the museum is the old port of the city. Its development was never realized, Swakopmund not being the ideal place because it has no natural bay for that. In 1906, the project was abandoned and replaced by the creation of Palm Beach, an area that is now popular with tourists. Located further on, behind a garden, stands majestically the red and white lighthouse, symbol of the city, which can light up more than 30 km from the coast. Right next door, the Kaiserliches Bezirksgericht is the president's holiday home.

dommage la visite fut sous un temps couvert et venteux ,un front de mer avec des villas colorées mais trop allemandes on ne se croirait pas en Namibie

Jolie balade
Le Front de mer offre de jolies balades, le vieux ponton pour ferrys est impressionnant. Les maisons qui bordent le front sont typiques et montrent bien un ancien style allemand. Il y a quelques petits moments aussi.

A l'extrémité sud du front de mer, il y a un petit étang (au niveau du pont à l'entrée de la ville) où se reposent plusieurs variétés d'oiseaux.

Bel endroit bien aménagé avec des bancs et une grande promenade, le long de la plage ou en littoral avec ses belles maisons typiques allemandes. en soirée nombre de "locaux" aiment à se promener et aller jusqu'à la jetée. De nombreux bars et restaurants aussi dans sa partie commercial.

Front de mer bien aménagé. Nombreuses possibilités pour pique niquer.
Mer froide mais après plusieurs jours dans le désert, cela fait du bien d'avoir "frais"
Ville très agréable (si besoin, je recommande la clinique privée pour des soins. Ils sont très professionnels)
