In August, in the most Germanic city of the country, Swakopmund, the atmosphere is the traditional German festival and the Bavarian costumes and other clothes with the colors of Germany are out! A music festival, traditional dance competitions, and beer tasting are combined over a few days in the city's squared-off streets: it's the Küska Festival! Anchored in the cultural landscape of the small coastal town of Swakop', it is also called the Swakopmunder Karneval.
