Hotel with international cuisine restaurant and breathtaking ocean view, ideal for wave lovers and surfers.

Less of a lodge than a standard hotel, this establishment is nonetheless original with its large porthole windows and breathtaking ocean views. It nevertheless has the disadvantage of being a little out of the centre of town (5 km away)... Ideal for wave lovers and especially for surfers: superb spot without rocks right in front of the establishment! The restaurant The Wreck, located on the second floor, in a romantic setting, enjoys an exquisite view of the Atlantic. Quality international cuisine.

Très bon rapport qualité prix pour cet hôtel très agréable en bord de mer et les chambres sont confortables et prestations de qualité. Je recommande vraiment cet hôtel !

A environ 5 km au nord de Swakopmund, le Beach Lodge est posé au milieu de nulle part sur la plage mais on a l'impression d'être sur un terrain vague... rien n'est fini dans les parages, beaucoup de constructions en cours... Une horrible pelouse très verte devant l'océan qui dénote complètement...Chambre sans charme très moderne (tout est blanc, éclairage blafard). La deluxe est très grande mais l'espace est très mal utilisé (par ex. les toilettes ne sont même pas séparées de la salle de bain qui elle même n'est pas vraiment séparée de la partie où se trouve le lit). Seul atout, de grands hublots qui donnent sur l'océan et une petite terrasse mais quant il fait 13°C cela n'a pas beaucoup d'intérêt... Chambre glaciale malgré un petit chauffage très mal placé sous une table dans la partie salle de bain. Pas de lampes de chevet, seulement de grosses boules blanches éblouissantes. Point positif : une bonne literie ! Le petit déjeuner est servi dans le restaurant Le Wreck dont la salle est ronde et toute vitrée avec vue panoramique sur l'océan , plutôt sympa mais le PD même s'il est copieux n'a rien de spécial. Nous avons aussi testé le restaurant le soir, la cuisine est correcte et pas très chère (plats de poissons). A noter que cet hôtel est très mal placé si on veut faire les excursions à Walvis Bay et Sandwich Harbour puisqu'il oblige à traverser tout Swakop pour aller récupérer la route du sud... En résumé faites un autre choix sauf si vous voulez absolument être au bord de l'océan et entendre le bruit des vagues...

Good hotel including the huge windows with sea views.

The restaurant is very, very stylish and good level.

Nothing the lodge and all the basic hotel. Sleeping good for family master bedroom, but very poor mattresses for two beds of the second room. The service is fast (fortunately because the bathroom and the toilet had not been on our arrival.)

A very good point, the restaurant which offers quality cuisine and panoramic ocean views.
