Exhausted travellers stop at Solitaire to refuel, quench their thirst and for the famous applestrudel from Moose Mc Gregor! Friends and family of the late Moose (who passed away in 2014) continue the fame of his beloved bakery. The latter has become an unmissable stop on the road to Sesriem and it must be said that we appreciate here to be able to enjoy in the shade and in the middle of old abandoned cars a good piece of cake to fill up with energy and get back on the road.

L'arrêt à Solitaire, un lieu qui fait penser à "Bagdad Cafe", sur la piste entre Sesriem et Swakopmund est inévitable. Le temps de faire un plein de gasoil et déguster un Strudel aux pommes à la "Bäckerei".

Très bonne boulangerie, les muffins sont excellent, nous avons aussi testé le cruelle aux pommes chaud un régal! Très pratique pour prendre des forces avant de poursuivre la route!
(Cependant notre guide 2017 parlait toujours de Morse, décédé en 2014!)
