Hotel located in an old desert farmhouse near Solitaire for a comfortable stay close to nature.

About 250 km south of the capital, Ababis Guest Farm, founded in 1896, is an old desert farm near Solitaire. It has been completely refurbished by the Schulze Neuhoff family to welcome tourists in the middle of the desert. The rooms, from Standard to Comfort to Honeymoon Suite, offer every comfort. They organize game drives, as well as small safaris on their vast property to observe the animals. Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon are easily accessible from the farm.

Très gentiment accueillis par la propriétaire de cette grande propriété. Nous avions de belles chambres. Il faisait encore un peu frais pour profiter de la piscine. Nous avons dîner à la table des propriétaires : l’occasion d’échanges passionnants sur l’histoire et la vie actuelle dans cette exploitation gigantesque. Nous n’avons pas eu le temps d’y voir des animaux sauvages mais le couché de soleil était splendide.

With 7 weeks in Namibia, on reflection this was one of our more favourite campsites. With only 3 or 4 camping pitches we felt really in the wild, it was super quiet and the sunset was beautiful. Our favourite thing was our candle lit showers, very rustic. You need your own wood to heat the donkey.

We also did their 4x4 off road training course which we'd give a very strong 5*! We learnt a lot and had a good amount of fun in the process. It meant we were incredibly comfortable in our car throughout our 7 weeks - a great way to start our holiday.
