We will only take this long detour if you want to finally see a river in the desert landscape of southern Namibia… and if you want to take a rafting trip! Indeed, the Orange River, which owes its name to Prince William V of Orange, has a few rapids between Noordoewer and the mouth of the river. From the Fish River Canyon, you must join the C 10 or take the D 316 directly from Ai-Creek. From Keemanshoop, take the B 1 leading to Noordoewer, the main border post for South Africa.
