Site with fossil remains of mesosaurus and kokerbooms, a good address for paleontology lovers in Keetmanshoop.
42 km from Keetmanshoop on the C17 towards Koës, fossil remains of mesosaurus will interest paleontology enthusiasts. The site also has several kokerbooms and offers landscapes similar to the Giant Playground. The walk is pleasant and it is possible to sleep on site either in one of the four cabins or in a well-maintained campsite in the middle of quiver trees, in a river bed. Please note that we do not accept credit cards, so please bring some cash with you, otherwise you may have to go all the way to Keetmanshoop and back!
