DOMAINE LÉON HEITZMANN
The Heitzmann family has been cultivating vines for six generations of passionate winegrowers. Situated in the heart of Ammerschwihr, the Léon Heitzmann estate extends over almost 12 hectares of vines, including plots on the Kaefferkopf and Schlossberg Grands Crus. The entire vineyard has been cultivated organically (AB Ecocert) since 2006 and biodynamically (Demeter) since 2008. The estate vinifies all the Alsatian grape varieties. In the charming tasting cellar, you will be able to taste a delicious Muscat d'Alsace Vieilles Vignes 2017, a superb Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Kaefferkopf 2017, or a tender and aromatic Crémant d'Alsace Rosé. The Heitzmann's have also extended their estate by adding a few hectares (for rent) of the Klur Vineyard. They now offer the famous "Gentil de Katz" (a blend of pinot blanc, pinot gris, gewurztraminer) and "Voyou de Katz" (a blend of riesling, sylvaner and muscat), as well as the entire range of Klur wines.
