SECHSELÄUTEN (FÊTE DU PRINTEMPS)

The Spring Festival is one of the city's major events. The festivities begin on Friday on the Lindenhof with the canton's specialities. On Saturday, it's the party with many balls. Then on Sunday, a procession of children before the big parades on Monday. Five hundred horses, 30 bands and 50 tanks circulate in the city. The highlight of the show is the stake where you burn Böögg, a snow bonhomme that symbolizes winter. The faster his head explodes, the better the summer!
