Marktküche means "market cuisine". As the name suggests, this establishment works exclusively with fresh, local produce. What's more, the menu is strictly vegan. The chef offers a varied, creative and subtle cuisine that marries Swiss tradition with the flavors of the world to delight the taste buds. The result is surprising and highly successful, with beautiful, tasty and colorful dishes... and the deep feeling of having eaten healthily but with great gourmet pleasure. Excellent wine list. As a gastro freak this is exactly what you expect from a good restaurant. Had the 7courses tasting menu with wine pairing and let me tell you: They do know what they are doing. They elevate simple seasonal flavours into their full potential and complexity, they don't try to substitute meat or fish because whoever said that "in simplicity hides perfection" was absolutely right and lastly but definitely not least: the wine pairing was just spot on with every single dish! Amazing experience and I cannot wait to be back!

The food wasn't as expected, although it was well presented, it seems to lack the taste, dessert was good and delicious, and i wished the portion was larger.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend in der Marktküche. Ich wurde zu meinem Geburtstag hier eingeladen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das 8 Gänge Menü führte uns durch die Welt der veganen. Küche. Die Kompositionen waren kreativ und überraschend. Danke an das Team der Marktküche. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

I came here for a dinner with a friend. We were very surprised by this restaurant. Very attentive and friendly waiters and staff, and delicious food. We chose the 6-course menu and they were all outstanding. I will definitely return there.
