Wir gehen eigentlich gerne im Zeughauskeller essen, aber nach unserer letzten Erfahrung ist uns der Appetit vergangen. Wir hatten einen Tisch für zwei Personen reserviert und mussten beim Eingang trotzdem warten, bis alle nicht reservierten Touristen ihre Plätze bekommen haben. Danach wurden wir an einen langen Tisch gesetzt, wo schon vier andere Personen anwesend waren. Wir mussten uns den ganzen Abend die Gespräche dieser Leute zwangsweise anhören. Gäste die später kamen, bekamen alle problemlos einen Tisch für sich mit einem
Hauch mehr Privatsphäre. Mein Mann und ich konnten uns nicht mal unterhalten, weil die Leute neben uns so laut am reden waren. Was uns auch gestört hat ist, dass man sofort auf Englisch angesprochen wird. Ich verstehe, dass es ein historisches Restaurant ist, das viele Touristen anzieht. Aber auch wir Schweizer gehen gerne im Zeughauskeller essen und wünschen uns einen normalen Kundenumgang. Man kann es ja zuerst mal auf Deutsch versuchen und nicht jeden gleich als Tourist abstempeln. Das Essen ist soweit immer gut im Zeughauskeller, traditionell und schön angerichtet. Der Umgang mit den Gästen, das übertriebene internationale Getue und das Nichtbeachten, wie man Gäste platziert führt nun leider zu zwei Sternen.

We stood in line to enter the restaurant because the restaurant was full of people. There were two of us and we shared a table with two English friends who gave us a table for four. The waiter was very nice, kind and professional. The food we got was very tasty and good. This restaurant is very professional in serving customers. The cost of food for two people was 70 Swiss francs

Das Essen war mit Salz oberste Grenze. Der Kellner Andreas sehr, sehr zuvorkommend.

Grande ambiente storico dall'atmosfera tradizionale. Pietanze tipiche, quasi esclusivamente a base di carne, buone e servite in porzioni generose. Sempre affollato, ma l'attesa nel mio caso è durata pochi minuti, accettando di mangiare allo stesso tavolo con sconosciuti (sembra che sia una pratica comune in questo locale). Prezzi svizzeri.

Leider ein Restaurant für ahnungslose Touristen, dass die Gäste aufgrund der Besuchermassen schnell abfertigen muss. Die Zwiebelsuppe war leider gar nicht gut, die Kalbsläberli zu fest gebraten und an manchen Stellen verbrannt. Die Rösti war stellenweise Schwarz und an anderen Stellen überhaupt nicht knusprig. Das Schnitzel und die Paprikawurst waren in Ordnung.
Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich aber leider sehr im Stress. Es gibt bessere Orte für gute Schweizer Küche in der Stadt....

Zürih'te ne yeneceği belli fakat nerede yeneceğini bulmak zor. Çeşitli sosyal medya hesaplarından çok bahsedildiğini gördüğümüz için 18.30 gibi geldik. Rezervasyon sordular ancak bir yere oturabildik.

Mekan geniş, geleneksel bir İsviçre restoranı, eskiden cephanelik ve silahlık olarak kullanıldığından duvarlarda tarihî silahlar yer alıyor. Yemeklerden Zürih şinitzeli ile ünlü dana sosisi denedik. Şinitzel mum ve bakır kapta, yanında soğan ve barbekü sos ile, sosis hardal sosu ile geliyor. Sunum etkileyici. Tavuk ortalama, patates lezzetli, porsiyonlar büyük ve doyurucu. Sosis lezzetli, Viyana usulü patates salatası lezzetli. Yerel bira ve kola ile toplam 68 CHF (76 Euro) ödedik.

Biz çıkarken dışarıda kuyruk olmaya başlamıştı ama başka yer aramayın, tavsiye ediyorum.

One of the best restaurants we tried here in Zurich, helpful waiters and really decent food. Here you’ll see people coming from everywhere in the world to have their lunch surrounded by multiple tourist attractions. Try out their pork!

I recently dined at Zeughauskeller and was blown away by the delicious authentic Swiss food. I highly recommend trying the potato salad and the deer - both were outstanding. The restaurant also serves a variety of tasty beers to accompany your meal. Although the place was overly crowded, the staff worked exceptionally well to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was charming and rustic, and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. It's worth noting that the restrooms are only accessible via stairs due to the age of the building, but this shouldn't deter you from visiting. Overall, I had a great experience at Zeughauskeller and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for delicious Swiss food in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

Update after the 3rd visit. Still great! Added more pictures. Another recommendation is their Rösti and seasonal Cordon Bleu. I was always welcomed by very nice personnel. Will definitely visit a 4th time.

Food was excellent. Got the sampler of sausages with potatoes and the dunkel straight from the cask. Sat at the a round table with lovely new friends. Highly recommend although a bit pricy. Lunch time is likely best time to go

brasserie effectivement touristique mais pas forcément attrape touristes.
cadre agréable même si la salle est un peu bruyante. L'accueil est suisse germanique : pas désagréable mais pas hyper chaleureux non plus.
carte (disponible en français) copieuse et variée. Gastronomie traditionnelle pas forcément raffinée mais qui vous cale l'estomac après un matinée de visites

prix plutôt raisonnables au vu du standing du quartier. donc je recommande plutôt
