If you are staying in the Lucerne region, a climb to Mount Pilatus is a must. The peak of the mountain is the Tomlishorn, at 2,129 m above sea level, which straddles the cantons of Obwalden and Nidwalden. The highest station is Pilatus-Kulm. As the Pilatus dominates Lake Lucerne, the view is truly magnificent, with a multitude of colour shades from blue and green in summer to blue and white in winter. This spectacular excursion is an epic journey to the high Swiss peaks but also to a mythical place haunted by legends. An icy path in winter (hold on to the railing) leads to the top of the site. The view is spectacular.
