This modern building on the Rhine, designed by Mario Botta, is a tribute to the Swiss artist Jean Tinguely. Jean Tinguely, a draughtsman, painter and metal sculptor, worked extensively with perpetual motion: one of his striking and poetic sculptures is in the centre of Basel, in the fountain on the theatre square. His kinetic creations, made of recycled materials, set art in motion. In addition to the permanent collection, the museum offers interactive exhibitions related to his artistic world.

Opening time and information on MUSEUM JEAN TINGUELY

Closed on Mondays. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Adult admission: 18 CHF, reduced rate: 12 CHF. Free for young people under 16 years old. Shop. Bar upstairs. Restaurant. Instructions.

Toute la magie des machines de Tinguely dans un superbe bâtiment au bord du Rhin.La mécanique et le mouvement élevés au niveau de l'art. Un véritable "musée-joyau".

Incontournable pour les machines de Tinguely. Mais pas seulement, expositions temporaires d'un très bon niveau.
Belle vue sur le Rhin, où vous pouvez même vous jeter en maillot de bain après avoir acheté un sac étanche à la boutique du musées pour y mettre vos affaires.

Musée situé à côté du Rhin. La visite est intéressante. Les explications affichées permettent de suivre l'évolution des oeuvres et de découvrir Tinguely. Il est possible d'actionner les machines.
