Cheap hotel with restaurant in a historic setting in the heart of Basel's old town.
In the heart of the old town, this hotel is located in a beautiful historical building dating back to the 13th century. The prices are really low, but the explanation is quite simple: the rooms are of a rudimentary comfort when you know Switzerland and especially share a common bathroom (not mixed) which explains the price! If they are basic, we are in Switzerland, so the cleanliness remains irreproachable. Good for small budgets. No breakfast. On the ground floor, this former tavern has been a true culinary tradition in Basel since 1906: thirty different sofas, prepared to the minute, are available to enjoy on site or to take away (every day from 9am to midnight). A little noisy in the evening due to the crowd at the restaurant.

Die Pizza ist der Hammer, einfach nur Lecker ????
Nach dem Konzert bin ich dann noch in die Brötlibar gegangen.
Dort wurde ich sehr Enttäuscht, man darf die Brötli nicht mehr selber nehmen ???? warum? Corona oder was?
Der ganze Flair geht verloren!
