Superb neighbourhood restaurant offering a variety of self-service dishes at low prices in Basel.
For those who are reluctant to push the door of small district restaurants, the Coop supermarket chain restaurant offers you the 1 st floor, a large modern room with large windows. Self-service with a wide choice of dishes. For a quick lunch, cheap in the middle of a clientele of pensioners and local employees.

Hier stimmt alles: Das Schnitzel mit Salat ist lecker und superfrisch, und das für rund 17€. Dazu ein guter und freundlicher Koch, entspanntes Ambiente und alles ist sauber und schön. Woanders in Basel bezahle ich für ein solides Schnitzel ohne alles (!) mindestens 33€ und ist keinesfalls besser. Kaffee und Kuchen sind auch gut. Super Essgelegenheit in Basel ????

Wir waren zum ersten mal im Pfauen Restaurant und wurden positiv überrascht. Grosse Auswahl und alles sah sehr lecker aus. Ich habe mich dann für das Tagesmenu entschieden was ebenfalls ausgezeichnet war. Auch das Gemüse was in den meisten Restaurants nur als fade Beilage auf dem Teller liegt war gut gewürtzt und richtig lecker. Es gibt auch ein grosses Dessertbuffet was ebenfalls hervorragent aussah!! Dazu auch noch Preiswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
