In total darkness, blind Anicia guides you to your table. Here, the blind are your guides. Welcome to 192, Dornacherstrasse, in the collective Gundeldinger Feld where, since 2015, the Blindekuh restaurant has been offering a human, warm and gourmet experience. Visual artifice fades away. Without sight, taste and smell are revealed. Your ears pick up the atmosphere. Get to know your neighbors without prejudice. The menu changes every month.

What an awesome experience! I'll definitely do it again. The concept of supporting individuals with visual challenges and including them as functional members of society is truly amazing. It's a super wow initiative that deserves applause. Good job!

Der Besuch in der blindekuh Basel hat sich sehr gelohnt. Es war ein eindrückliches und unvergessliches Erlebnis. Wir wurden von Ruth ganz wundervoll bewirtet. Danke liebe Ruth. Wir haben das vegetarische Überraschungsmenü gewählt. Kleiner Nachteil beim Essen, wenn etwas nicht so schmeckt, ists sehr schwierig einfach nur das wegzulassen, da zumindest mir es schwer gefallen ist, zu lokaliseren wo sich dieses spezielle Gemüse befindet.
Das Ambiente empfand ich leider als nicht so angenehm, da es sehr stickig (vermutlich nimmt man das auch einfach intensiver wahr) und laut war. Teilweise konnte ich mich kaum mit meiner vis à vis sitzenden Kollegin unterhalten.
Aber der Eindruck und das Erlebnis ist ja das was zählt, wenn man dort essen geht, dafür kann schon einmal auf gemeinsames Quatschen verzichtet werden;)
