Cost-effective tea and pastries in a café-restaurant with terrace in the heart of Basel.

An oasis of calm and greenery in the heart of the city! This café-restaurant is one of our favorites. Its small terrace invites you to relax and read, with the lapping of the pretty fountain in the background. It is sometimes necessary to be patient to find a free place, during the day and in the evening. One comes here for the chess games between regulars and the mocking look of the monkey perched on the fountain. There is a wide selection of teas and home-made pastries at reasonable prices. In summer, the homemade iced tea is a must!

Very cute little café, perfect to have a good afternoon coffee & cake. The location is a bit hidden and therefore quiet. Overall atmosphere 10/10. :)

Super Café zum verweilen mit nettem Personal. Der Ort ist zentral gelegen und trotzdem fühlt es sich versteckt an. Super gemütlich, ob draussen oder drinnen. Der Kaffee aber auch die eigenen Tee sind top und die Kuchen auch sehr zu empfehlen :)

Gestern war Bummelsonntag und alles wurde wieder auf die Fasnacht umgestellt. Wir assen superfeinen Kuchen und hatten einen tollen Service, obwohl gesterne sehr viel los war! Sehr empfehlenswert, gerne wieder:)
